Cops: Man offered teen money, drugs to get in car

Riverhead Police arrested a Hampton Bays man on Thursday after they said he asked a 15-year-old boy to smoke marijuana with him, offering him money while he was parked near Riverhead schools.

According to police, 33-year-old Raul Peraza-Guardado, who was parked on Harrison Avenue, started a conversation with the boy before asking him to get into his black Toyota SUV.

The boy declined and left the area, reporting the incident to Riverhead Police. Authorities tracked the man down on Thursday.

Police said he was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor. He was processed and is being held for arraignment.
