Six Riverhead athletes sign to play in college

Six members of the Riverhead varsity lacrosse team will continue their athletic careers in college next year. The players were honored at a signing ceremony at the high school Tuesday morning for their accomplishments.

Five of the athletes will play lacrosse while the sixth, Ryan Harkin, will play football.

The signees were:

Mike Van Bommel: SUNY Plattsburgh

Ryan Hubbard: SUNY Plattsburgh

Daniel Czelatka: SUNY Stony Brook

Jaron Greenidge: Brevard College

Tim Vail: De Sales University

Ryan Harkin: Gettysburg College (football)

The Riverhead lacrosse team is currently 5-8 this season with three games remaining on the schedule.
