A 27-year-old unlicensed Riverhead man was arrested on a drug charge Tuesday evening after police received a noise complaint, Riverhead Town police said.

Police received a complaint about loud music coming from a vehicle about 11:15 p.m. on Lewis Street, according to a report. While interviewing the car’s owner, William Brown, an officer noticed a black digital scale in the pocket of the door, according to a report.

Mr. Brown was charged with third-degree unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, unlawful possession of marijuana, along with other violations, authorities said.
