Cops: Motorcyclist airlifted following crash in Manorville

A motorcyclist was airlifted to Stony Brook University Medical Center after he was injured in an accident in Manorville Sunday, a Suffolk County Police Department spokesperson said. 

The motorcyclist, a male, was traveling near the intersection of Dry Saw Mill Road and Edwards Avenue when the crash occurred at around 3 p.m., police said.

No other details about the accident and the nature of his injuries were immediately known.

Because of the location of the crash, emergency personnel from several departments responded to the scene; including the Riverhead police and fire departments, Manorville EMS and Suffolk County police.
