Cops: Man was driving with crack and crack pipe

Police said a Bellport man was arrested after he was found with a crack pipe and crack cocaine in his car early Sunday night. 

According to Southampton Police, 36-year-old Gilbert Henderson was driving on County Road 51 in Northampton around 3:30 a.m. when he was stopped for a traffic infraction.

Police said that a subsequent investigation revealed that his license had been suspended, and he was also in possession of drugs and a crack pipe.

Mr. Henderson was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree, both misdemeanors. He was held for morning arraignment.
