Cops: Flanders woman files public lewdness complaint

A Flanders woman filed a public lewdness complaint with Southampton Town police after she was stopped by a man who began touching his private area, police said.

The woman said she was approached by a man in a vehicle while she was walking her dog Saturday morning on Brookhaven Avenue in Flanders.

The man engaged her in a conversation and even gave her his business card, but then as she walked closer to his car, she realized he had his hands on his groin on the outside of his pants and was touching himself inappropriately, according to a police report.

The man was described as Hispanic and he was driving a light colored vehicle, police said. No arrests have been made and police did not release additional details about the business card.
