Cops: Thief steals chips and dip from snack company van
Someone stole potato chips and dip from a Frito-Lay delivery van in Riverhead two weeks ago, according to a police report.
The driver of the van told police that he parked the vehicle in the warehouse lot on Columbus Avenue June 19. Sometime during the night, a thief broke the locked door on the Frito-Lay-owned van and “removed an unknown amount of chips and dip,” according to a police report.
The owner of the lot said he would review surveillance footage, police said.
