Justice Court Report: Riverhead man pleads guilty to DWI

There were 283 cases on the docket in Riverhead Town Justice Richard Ehlers’ court, July 7 to 9. The following are among those adjudicated. 

• Christopher Alacqua, 30, of Huran Street in Howard Beach pleaded guilty to driving while ability impaired by drugs and was sentenced to 30 days in jail.

• Jose Rodriguez-Peraza, 30, of Sweezy Avenue in Riverhead pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated and unlicensed operation and was sentenced to 30 days in jail and fined $493.

• Joseph Barwick, 39, of Groves Drive in Flanders pleaded guilty to aggravated unlicensed operation and was sentenced to 30 days in jail.

• Jason Mealy, 37, of Second Street in Greenport pleaded guilty to petit larceny and was sentenced to 15 days in jail and fined $205.

• Shanntaus Hancock, 32, of Meade Avenue in Bellport pleaded guilty to driving while ability impaired by drugs and was sentenced to three years’ probation and fined $1,000.

• Montaigne Henderson Jr., 21, of Nash Avenue in Flanders pleaded guilty to driving while ability impaired, reduced from driving while ability impaired by drugs, and was fined $885 and given a 90 suspension of his license.

• Amanda Hurrinus, 20, of Castle Court in Wading River pleaded guilty to driving while ability impaired, reduced from driving while intoxicated, and was fined $660.

• Anastasios Mastorakis, 37, of 33rd Street in Astoria pleaded guilty to driving while ability impaired, reduced from driving while intoxicated, and was fined $660.

• Erick Lopez, 29, of Harrison Avenue in Riverhead pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated and was fined $400.

• A driving while intoxicated charge against Pablo Reira-Cabrera, 38, of Harbor View Drive in Sag Harbor was dismissed in town court, as he was indicted in county court.

• Eric Thomas, 40, of Lewis Street in Riverhead pleaded guilty to second degree harassment, reduced form third-degree assault, and was sentenced to time already served in jail.

• Charges including attempted purchase or disposal of a weapon, offering to file a false instrument and second-degree criminal contempt against Michael Vlahdamis, 27, of West Tiana Road in Hampton Bays were dismissed in town court as he was indicted in county court.
