Board to discuss Edgar Allan Poe fest, NF Coffee
The Riverhead Town Board is slated to discuss an Edgar Allan Poe Festival scheduled for downtown on Halloween at its work session Thursday.
Sal St. George, who is involved in the Dickens Festival in Port Jefferson, presented the idea to the Riverhead Business Improvement District management association on July 16 and got its support for the festival.
Also on the agenda is a proposed North Fork Coffee Company at the site previously occupied by Go Solar on Main Road in Aquebogue. North Fork Coffee Company is headed by Jason Belkin, who is the chief executive officer of Water Mill-based Hampton Coffee Company, which has locations in Water Mill, Westhampton Beach and Southampton, along with a van that acts as a Mobile Expresso Unit.
The meeting starts at 10 a.m. and News-Review reporter Tim Gannon will be live blogging. Click below to follow or comment and see the full meeting agenda below that.
