Leo J. Bujnicki

Leo J, Bujnicki of Calverton died July 19 at Peconic Bay Medical Center. He was 94. 

He was born in Wading River on May 3, 1920, to Jacob and Teofila (Czebotar) Bujnicki. Mr. Bujnicki worked as a farmer on the family farm in Wading River, a bus driver in Connecticut and retired from Grumman Aerospace Corp. in Calverton. During World War II he served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Tuscaloosa, earning 5 battle stars. He was a life member of Eastport American Legion.

Mr. Bujnicki was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy (née Lipovsky); his sisters, Stella Lyczkowski, Mary Bakowski, Anna Kwiatkowski; his twin brother, John; and brothers, Joseph, Frank, Stanley. He is survived by his sister Harriet, daughter, Lorraine, one grandson, a niece, and several nephews.

Arrangements were handled by Alexander-Tuthill Funeral Home in Wading River. Burial took place at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Cemetery in Riverhead.
