Antoinette Normoyle

Longtime Flanders resident Antoinette Normoyle died at her home Aug. 15, 2014 from lung cancer. She was 77. 

She was born Aug. 14, 1937, in Queens to Tom and Wilhelmina Murray and married Stanley Normoyle April 8, 1972. For 30 years she worked for Suffolk County Real Service Tax Agency.

Ms. Normoyle was an active member of St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Riverhead, volunteering for Parish Outreach and receiving the church’s Woman of the Year award in 2004.

Family members said was a fan and supporter of Normoyle Racing and enjoyed the New York Yankees, New York Liberty and auto racing .

Ms. Normoyle was predeceased by her uncle, Ernie Mikanek and is survived by her husband, Stanley; her son and daughter-in-law, James and Roxane Normoyle Sr.; her grandchildren, James Jr., Kyle and Courtney Normoyle and Erica, Michael and Joseph Manglaviti; and her great-grandchild, Tanner James.

A funeral service will take place Tuesday, Aug. 19, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church. Interment will take place at Calverton National Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to McLaughlin-Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead.
