Elizabeth Lokkeberg

Elizabeth “Betty” Lokkeberg of Jamesport died Aug. 15, 2014, at the age of 84. 

Ms. Lokkeberg was the beloved wife of Kenneth; the loving mother of Mary Meagher, Judy Schoemmell, Andrew (Jo), Phillip (Silvana), Arne and Michael Lokkeberg, and the late Mary “Stella” Petty and Christopher Anderson. She was the the cherished grandmother of Shannon Walker, Kimberly Michiels, John Meagher, Kevin Petty, Melissa Petty, Tara Powers, Robert Schoemmell, Victoria Piecey, Kelly Cox, David Schoemmell, Lena Hallock, and Mary, Jammie Lee, Joseph and Maria Lokkeberg; and great-grandmother of 18.

The family will receive visitors Tuesday, Aug. 19, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Aug. 20, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Riverhead. Burial will take place at the church cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Long Island.
