Montaigne Lamont Henderson

Former Riverhead resident Montaigne Lamont Henderson of Virginia Beach, Va. died at his home Aug 31. He was 41. 

He was predeceased by his father, Melvin Henderson and is survived by his mother, Joan Lamb of Riverhead; his fianceé, Jovana Alamo his grandmother, Annie Lamb of Elizabeth City, N.C.; his three daughters, Alexis and Ashley Henderson of Queens and Kaylie Clark of Hertford, N.C.; two sons, Montaigne Henderson of Riverhead and Nicholas Henderson of Bronx; one sister, Isha Henderson of Center Moriches; four brothers, Damian Henderson and Kevin Pollard Jr. of Riverhead, Shawn Henderson of Center Moriches and Melvin Henderson Jr. of Connecticut and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family received visitors Sept. 4 at Walson Funeral Home in Elizabeth City. A funeral service took place Sept. 5 at New Sawyer’s Creek Baptist Church in Camden, N.C. Interment took place at the Church Cemetery.
