Girls Tennis: Wildcats swept by William Floyd

The Shoreham-Wading River girls tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to host William Floyd in non-league action Tuesday afternoon.

William Floyd (10-1, 6-0 League VII), one of the top squads in Suffolk County, swept all four singles matches and the three doubles matches as well against the Wildcats (2-6, 2-5 League VIII).

Emily Fernandez defeated Michelle Hoffmann, 6-0, 6-0; her sister Brooke Fernandez bested Anna Simos, 6-0, 6-2; Christina Cali downed Jillian Dinowitz, 6-1, 6-0; and Kaitline Hibbert beat Anya Wilcox, 6-0, 6-0.

In the doubles matches: Kecli Henn and Lis Lin combined to stop Katya Perricone and Katie Stern, 6-2, 6-0; Antonette Viglione and Kayla D’Addario stopped Heather Seager and Amanda De Teberiis, 6-0, 6-0; and Victoria Panicola and Vianna Iorio defeated Kara Gately and Alice Van Wickler, 6-0, 6-0.
