Jill Nancy Madalone of Riverhead died Sept. 29 at Riverhead Care Center. She was 71.
She was born July 21, 1943, in Port Jefferson to Charlotte (Suckow) and Anthony Joseph Madalone. Ms. Madalone worked for 35 years as an accounting manager with GMAC in Uniondale.
Ms. Madalone was an active member of the Glenwood Village community, serving as recording secretary of the recreational club, Sunshine Lady. She was also a block captain, part of the security patrol and a member of the Lassies and Red Hat Society.
Her sister, Shirley Brown, said Ms. Madalone “loved traveling all over the world, going on cruises and visiting the Mediterranean and Ireland.”
In addition to her sister, Ms. Madalone is survived by an aunt and many cousins.
The family will receive visitors Thursday, Oct. 2, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service will be held Friday, Oct. 3, at 10 a.m. at St. Ann’s Episcopal Church in Sayville. Interment will take place at the church cemetery.
