Cops: Traffic stop leads to drug arrest in Flanders

A traffic stop in Flanders led to the arrest of a 29-year-old Southampton man who was found in possession of Oxycodone pills and a switchblade knife, Southampton Town police said. 

James R. Lloyd was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon, both misdemeanors, police said.

Mr. Lloyd was a passenger in a vehicle stopped at around 9 p.m. Monday on Elm Avenue, police said. He was found in possession of five Oxycodone pills, police said.

He was released on bail and is due back in court at a later date, police said.
