Man arrested for violating order of protection at McDonald’s
A Flanders man was arrested Friday afternoon after he entered McDonald’s in Riverside and violated an order of protection obtained by one of the fast food restaurant’s employees, Southampton Town Police said.
Benjamin Velasquez, 53, had been repeatedly told that he is not allowed to enter the restaurant, police said.
Mr. Velasquez was charged with second degree criminal contempt and third-degree criminal trespass, police said. He was also wanted on a bench warrant for failure to appear in court, police said.
He is being held in Suffolk County Jail on $500 bail, police said.
