Justice Court Report: Hampton Bays man fined $600 for disorderly conduct

There were 363 cases on the docket in Riverhead Town Justice Allen Smith’s court Nov. 17-19. The following are among those adjudicated: 

• Robert Cortese of Hampton Bays, 26, pleaded guilty to two counts of disorderly conduct, reduced from charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic instrument, and was fined $600.

• Joseph Browning of Flanders, 66, pleaded guilty to petit larceny and was fined $400.

• Tashiea Trent of Flanders, 34, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct, reduced from possession of a forged instrument, and was fined $250.

• Leonara Cendales of Coram, 19, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct, reduced from petit larceny, and was fined $350.

• Anthony Miller of Rocky Point, 27, was sentenced to time already served in jail and was fined $125 after pleading guilty to disorderly conduct, reduced from petit larceny.

• Andrew Van Riper of Riverhead, 52, was sentenced to time already served in jail and was fined $125 after pleading guilty to disorderly conduct, reduced from criminal mischief.

• Charges including grand larceny, possession of stolen property and endangering the welfare of a child against Diana Censoprano of Selden, 38, were dismissed in town court, as the charges were moved into county court.

• A burglary charge against Michael Settle of Riverhead, 20, was dismissed in town court, as the charge was moved into county court.

• Charges including driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed driving against Erick Layer-Lopez of Riverhead, 27, were dismissed in town court, as the charges were moved into county court.

• Charges including driving while intoxicated against Esvin Esduardo Castro-Veliz of Riverhead, 28, were dismissed in town court, as the charges were moved into county court.
