Raymond Moran of Riverhead died Nov. 26 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Northport. He was 95. 

He was born Nov. 20, 1919, in Brooklyn to Bella (Waldron) and Edward Moran. Mr. Moran served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946. He achieved the rank of corporal and received the Bronze Star medal. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Riverhead.

Mr. Moran was a postal clerk with the U.S. Postal Service office in Brooklyn.

Predeceased by his wife, Margaret (née Qualey) in 1999 and his son Raymond Jr. in 2007, Mr. Moran is survived by his daughter, Linda Singer of Calverton, his sons Robert, of Massachusetts and Richard of Georgia; and three grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors Sunday, Nov. 30, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service will be held Monday, Dec. 1, at 9:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Riverhead, officiated by Father Larry Duncklee. Interment will take place at 10:45 a.m.
