The Riverhead Lions Club held its annual Christmas parade on Sunday in downtown Riverhead. Hundreds of people lined Main Street as the parade made its way to the Peconic riverfront.
Some marchers included Riverhead VFW members, local scout troops and fire fighters. They were followed by blaring firetrucks and Santa Clause.
Daniela Perez of Riverhead attended the parade with daughters Michelle and Tiffany. The family’s pet Buddy also tagged along wearing a sweater.
“We’re happy to show support for the community,” Ms. Perez said.
