Cops: Riverhead woman arrested for choking another woman
A Riverhead woman turned herself in to police on Sunday following an incident in which she choked another woman during a physical altercation last month, Riverhead Town police said in a press release.
Marly Parada, 30, was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing in connection with the Nov. 9 incident, which occurred on Nadel Drive.
The female victim was 27 years old, police said. Her identity was not released.
Ms. Parada was processed Sunday and released on $250 bail.
