Justice Court Report: Riverhead man sentenced for DWI

There were 401 cases on the docket in Riverhead Town Justice Richard Ehlers’ court Dec. 8-10. The following are among those adjudicated, according to information provided by the court: 

• Carl Hill of Riverhead, 30, pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated. He was sentenced to 25 days in jail and six months’ probation and was fined $1,000.

• Charges including DWI, criminal possession of stolen property, and driving without a license against Leida Leion-Vasquez, 30, who is listed as undomiciled, were dismissed in town court as the charges were moved to county court.

• Frederick Pittman of Calverton, 46, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and unlawful possession of marijuana, reduced from menacing with a weapon and criminal possession of a weapon, and was fined $550.

• Michael Whitehead of Peabody, Mass., 44, pleaded guilty to driving while ability impaired. He received a 90-day suspension of his driver’s license and was fined $660.
