Joan Andes

Joan Andes of Jamesport died suddenly Jan. 10 at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead after a brief illness complicated by several lifelong medical conditions. She was 43. 

Ms. Andes was born May 21, 1971, at Southampton Hospital to William Francis Andes Sr. and Victoria Joan Andes and was the youngest of five siblings. She grew up in Riverhead.

Predeceased by her parents, she is survived by her siblings, William Andes, John Andes and Virginia Troyan, all of Riverhead, and Stephen Andes of Roanoke, Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family received visitors Jan. 12 at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A Mass of Christian Burial took place Jan. 13 at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Riverhead. Burial was at the church cemetery.
