Carl V. King

Riverhead resident Carl V. King, formerly of East Hampton died Jan. 3 at Veterans Administration Hospital in Manhattan. He was 71. 

He was born Nov. 11, 1943, in Riverhead to Preston and Antoinette (Pelis) King.

From 1966 to 1969, Mr. King served in the U.S. Army.

He worked as a plumber for Southampton Plumbing. Family members said he enjoyed fishing and clamming.

Mr. King is survived by his sisters, Marie Kiembock of East Hampton; Sharon Peters of Virginia; and Pauline Mohan of Connecticut; his brothers, Edwin of Flanders and Brian and Paul of East Hampton.

A  service was held Jan. 15, at Calverton National Cemetery.

Arrangements were handled by McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead.
