Cops: Woman had forged traveler’s checks at children’s store
Police arrested a Brooklyn woman on Friday they say had forged traveler’s checks at a children’s store at Tanger Outlet mall.
According to Riverhead Police, an employee at Ralph Lauren Children’s Outlet called police around 8:30 p.m. yesterday to a report that a female could possibly have a forged $100 American Express traveler’s check.
Following an investigation, it was determined that 18-year-old Deja Kilpatrick was in possession of a forged traveler’s check as well as other ones.
She was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree, a felony.
