Elissa Olsen Liszanckie

Riverhead resident Elissa Olsen Liszanckie, formerly of Greenport and Coram died April 11, 2015, at Stony Brook University Hospital. She was 65. 

Elissa was born Jan. 7, 1950, in Brooklyn to Martin and Emma (Vincent) Olsen. She graduated from Longwood High School in 1967 and studied accounting at Suffolk Community College. She married James Liszanckie Jr. Oct 14, 1972, in Islip.

Elissa took care of children for over 20 years and was known as “Mrs. L.”

She enjoyed music and painting landscapes.

In addition to her husband, Elissa is survived by her sister, Marne Olsen of Southold; her daughters, Michele Moore of Richmond, Va., Elizabeth, of Riverhead and Jamie Imre of Phoenix, Ariz.; her sons, James III, of Riverhead, David., of Shelter Island, and Dolan Williams of Suffern, N.Y.; and her grandchildren, Libby Liszanckie, Hayley, Luke and Henry Lowell-Liszanckie, Jessica Moore, Caleb Madison, Lily, Alexa, Korbin and Hope Imre, and soon to be born, baby James Liszanckie IV.

A memorial service took place April 12 at Community Baptist Church in Riverhead, officiated by Pastor Joshua Fryman. Interment was private.
