She’s a model. An actress. A beauty pageant contestant. And an Air National Guardsman.

Heather Riley, a 2008 Riverhead High School graduate, has her sights set on another accomplishment — the title of Miss U.S. International.

Ms. Riley, who took home the title of Miss Congeniality at the Miss Long Island Pageant in 2013, is hoping to compete in the upcoming national competition June 22-26 in Orlando, Fla.

Last year’s winner was 23-year-old Samantha Brooks, who attended La Sierra University.

Ms. Riley was a pageant winner in October 2013, earning the title of Miss Northeast American Nations 2014.

“I have competed in two pageants in the past two years and I have decided to challenge myself to do another,” Ms. Riley wrote on a GoFundMe page she started to raise money toward the competition.
