A Hauppauge woman was arrested Tuesday after she was allegedly caught altering a prescription in order to receive a controlled substance from Barth’s Pharmacy on East Main Street, Riverhead Town police said.

image013Crystal Cody, 33, was charged after police received a report shortly before 5 p.m. Tuesday of a female customer possibly in possession of a forged prescription at the downtown pharmacy.
