Passenger killed, driver seriously injured in Shoreham crash

One woman was killed and another was seriously injured in a single-car crash in Shoreham on Thursday afternoon, Suffolk County police said.

Twenty-year-old Grace Quinones was driving a Dodge Caravan northbound on Randall Road, north of Whiskey Road, when she apparently lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree at approximately 1:15 p.m., police said. The Ridge resident was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital.

The passenger in the crash, 38-year-old Deidre Bifulco of Ridge, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check and an investigation into the crash remains ongoing. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the Seventh Squad at 631-852-8752.
