Barth’s Drug Store in Riverhead robbed at gunpoint
A masked gunman robbed Barth’s Drug Store on East Main Street Friday, escaping the downtown Riverhead pharmacy with cash from the register, town police said.
The man entered Barth’s around 2:45 p.m. carrying a handgun and wearing a mask, a black short-sleeve t-shirt, dark colored jeans and sneakers, police said. They declined to provide more details about the suspect or the amount of money he took off with.
Police are asking anyone with information to call detectives at 727-4500 ext. 327. All calls will be kept confidential, according to police.
Barth’s Drug Store was previously robbed by three gunmen in November 2012.
