The Hallockville homestead is celebrating its 250th anniversary this year and the museum farm there is hosting a day of celebration July 18.
The three-hour event, which starts at 1 p.m. that Saturday, will feature tours of the homestead, its barn and other buildings on the Sound Avenue property. Colonial-era military re-enactments and craft demonstrations will be held during the anniversary celebration and children will get a chance to feed the animals on the property.
The event is free.
