Judith M. Hernandez

Former longtime Wading River resident Judith M. Hernandez of East Moriches died Aug. 26 at her home. She was 75. 

She was born Sept. 21, 1939, in Queens to John and Mildred Rascoll.

For 27 years, Ms. Hernandez worked as a nurse’s aid at Sunrest Nursing Home in Port Jefferson.

Family members said she loved spending time with family and enjoyed her annual Mother’s Day family trip to Orient Point.

Ms. Hernandez is survived by her husband, Frank Jr.; her sons, John and Frank III; her daughters, Laurie Spruck, Gabrielle Costantino and Joanna Hernandez; her sister, Janet Miller; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family received visitors Aug. 28 at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. Funeral services took place Aug. 29, at St. Isidore R.C. Church in Riverhead. Cremation will be private.
