Riverhead News: 50th reunion for Class of 1965

Riverhead High School’s Class of 1965 held its 50th reunion Sept. 10 at Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard.

Fifty-eight classmates plus guests attended. One classmate traveled all the way from Australia. All had a wonderful time reminiscing. They looked at yearbooks and old pictures and enjoyed music. It rained heavily that evening but that didn’t put a damper on the affair. The next day, the 11th, many classmates met up at Bagel Lovers. They were also led on a special tour of Pulaski Street School — which had been their high school — by Dr. Hudson. He took them to the library and also to visit their old classrooms. The day ended with dinner at J&R’s Steakhouse.

Riverhead Free Library’s adult and information services will host a local author talk Friday, Sept. 18, from 7 to 8 p.m. at Diliberto Winery.
