Girls Volleyball: Blue Waves swept by Newfield in three games

Newfield swept Riverhead in a Suffolk County League III girls volleyball match on Monday. The host Wolverines won, 25-19, 25-12, 25-14.

The Blue Waves fell to 0-7, 0-6.

For Newfield (4-2, 4-2), Gabby Darnaby finished with 17 kills, 4 blocks, 6 digs and 2 service aces.

Riverhead next will travel to meet Smithtown West on Wednesday.
