David Wayne Boles

David Wayne Boles, 64, of Marion, Ohio, formerly of LaRue, Ohio, died Friday evening, Oct. 9, 2015, at the Presidential Center in Marion.  He had been a resident there for 20 years due to his battle with multiple sclerosis, which had been diagnosed in 1976. 

He was born April 1, 1951, in Kenton, Ohio, to Henry Francis and Norma Joan (LaRue) Boles.

A 1969 graduate of Elgin High School, David worked at Whirlpool Corporation, and retired in 1987 after almost 20 years of service. In high school he was active in sports, baseball being his favorite. He also played basketball and ran cross country. Later David enjoyed playing golf and shooting pool.

David is survived by his mother, Norma Joan Boles of LaRue; a daughter, Amanda Kay (Garrett) Moore of  Long Island; a grandson, Grady LaRue Moore, also of Long Island; two brothers, Kenneth Lee (Suzy) Boles of Green Camp, Ohio, and James A., of Wyoming; a sister, Dianna (Donny) Johnson of LaRue; and his former wife, Linda Fown Boles of Long Island.

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, at Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue, with Pastor Mike Raypholtz officiating. Friends may call Tuesday, Oct. 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date at LaRue Cemetery.
