Maryann Simchick

Riverhead resident Maryann Simchick, 70, formerly of Cutchogue died Oct. 19 at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead. 

She was born Jan. 17, 1945, in Riverhead to Theodore and Bertha Trinowski and attended Riverhead High School.

Ms. Simchick worked as a sales clerk at Bay View Market in Aquebogue. Family members said she enjoyed animals, recipes and cooking.

Predeceased by her husband, Wesley, in 1996, Ms. Simchick is survived by her children, Suzanne Becker of Florida, Victoria, of East Moriches and Wesley Jr., of Southold; her sister, Frances Krietsek of Florida; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors  Thursday, Oct. 22, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Coster-Heppner Funeral Home in Cutchogue. Burial will be private.

Memorial donations may be made to Quogue Wildlife Refuge or an animal rescue fund of the donor’s choosing.
