Town Board hearings on budget, former Court House restaurant

The Riverhead Town Board will hold a public hearing on its proposed 2016 budget at its meeting Tuesday afternoon. State law requires the board to adopt a final budget by Nov. 23.

The board also has a hearing scheduled today for what to do about the former Court House restaurant building on Griffing Avenue, which is considered unsafe, and has been vacant for years.

The meeting starts at 2 p.m. and News-Review reporter Tim Gannon will be live blogging.
