John H. Marsman of Riverhead, 105

John H. Marsman of Riverhead died Nov. 9 at his home. He was 105.

He was born Nov. 6, 1910, in Pittsburgh to Katherine (Moore) and John Marsman.

Mr Marsman was an electrical engineer with Sperry Gyroscope in Farmingdale and was active with the Riverhead Senior Center.

Family members said he enjoyed bike riding, sudoku, organic gardening, exercise and swimming.

Predeceased by his wife, Audrey in 2000, he is survived by his daughter, Gale Pisciotta of Florida; his son, John Marsman Jr. of Michigan; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Center Moriches.

Arrangements were in the care of McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead.
