Flanders News: Another round of happy birthdays

Happy Thanksgiving to all my family and friends. I would like to start by saying how thankful I am for the opportunity I’ve been given to write this community column.

I hope I’ve done you all proud. I’ve tried my best to get interesting and exciting information to you all and I thank everyone who’s called or emailed me with news to share. That being said, it is with deep regret that I inform you that I will no longer be writing this column after Dec. 24, as I have moved to Ridge. I’m certainly still going to be very active in the community because, after all, you can take the girl out of Flanders but you can’t take Flanders out of the girl. Thank you all! If you have any news to share for the next two columns, Dec. 10 and 24,  please get it to me as soon as possible.

Welcome home and happy Thanksgiving to Nicole Lennon, who will return home on leave from Woods Hole, Mass., where she was deployed on the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Hammerhead. She will be home for Thanksgiving and through the weekend and will get to celebrate her 20th birthday on Nov. 27 with family and friends. Her sister, Kim, her dad and the extended Lennon family would like to wish her a very happy 20th birthday. From all your family and friends, thank you for your service. Stay safe!

Belated happy birthday to Chase Wanat, who celebrated Nov. 21, and his dad, John, who celebrated Nov. 24. Mom Tracy hopes you both had a wonderful day!
