Featured Letter: A special Thanksgiving ‘thank you’ from Nancy Reyer

I just want to give my heartfelt thank-you to all of Riverhead. The Brendan House is almost done and 12 patients will be treated with great care for traumatic brain injury.

I have to share that since my son Michael Hubbard and my life changed it’s been love and care from Riverhead. The businesses in Riverhead, schools, friends, family and strangers, with Michael on their mind, helped build or financially bless Brendan House. During this beautiful season of Thanksgiving, my testimony of how I got this far is God and community. I’m so proud to be a part of this wonderful town.

To my new family at Peconic Bay Medical Center, every employee has embraced us with love and Michael is like the mayor there. The excellent care and therapy Michael has received, and love, is amazing. I would like to wish each of you a blessed Thanksgiving.

I’m so proud of my town for building Brendan House.
