Edward P. Sydlowski, longtime resident of Riverhead and Jamesport, died Nov. 27 at Riverhead Care Center. He was 90.
Mr. Sydlowski was born June 12, 1925, in Riverhead to John and Lena Sydlowski and was a farmer in Jamesport.
Family members said he loved Polish dancing and celebrating his Polish heritage. He also enjoyed farming.
Predeceased by his wife, Jeannette in 1993 and a grandson in 2008, Mr. Sydlowski is survived by his children, Patricia Ruma of Pennsylvania, Arlene Santerre of Florida, Edward Jr. of North Carolina and Catherine Stakey of Laurel; his brothers, Alex and Stanley, of Jamesport; his sister, Jennie Macksel of Greenport; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors Sunday, Nov. 29, from 2 to 6 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service will take place at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 30, at St. Isidore R.C. Church in Riverhead. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
