Police: Wading River couple caught selling heroin, marijuana

A husband and wife from Wading River were arrested today after an East End Drug Task Force investigation revealed that they were selling heroin and marijuana, according to police.

According to Riverhead Police, neighborhood complaints started coming into the office about “high traffic and suspected drug sales activity” on Northside Road, where the couple lived.

The town’s Community Oriented Police Enforcement unit, along with Suffolk County Police Department and a K-9 unit served a warrant today and allegedly came up with heroin, marijuana, packaging materials and a scale.

Twenty-five-year-old Daniel Gennaro and his wife, 24-year-old Samantha Cotroneo were arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree with intent to sell, criminal sale of a controlled substance in the fourth degree, unlawful possession of marijuana and criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree.

The couple is being held on $100,000 bail each.
