Lorraine M. O’Donnell

Former Riverhead resident Lorraine M. O’Donnell of Hamden, Conn., died March 5. She was 83.

The daughter of Stanley and Marion (Malkiewicz) Troyan, she was born Dec. 29, 1932, in Riverhead and graduated from Riverhead High School in 1951.

Ms. O’Donnell worked at Yale University in the economics department.

Predeceased by her husband, George, in 1989, Ms. O’Donnell is survived by her six children, Kathleen, of Florida, twins George and Kevin of Connecticut, twins Eileen Valintis and Maureen Panaroni, also of Connecticut, and Karen Stevenson of New Hampshire; three sisters, Florence Kull and Carol Carey, both of Riverhead, and former Riverhead resident Marion Prendergast; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family received visitors at Beecher and Bennett Funeral Home in Hamden. A funeral service and burial followed.
