Jadwiga Bondarowicz

Riverhead resident Jadwiga Bondarowicz, formerly of Speonk, died April 8 in Riverhead. She was 93. 

The daughter of Michal and Ursula Najdzion, she was born Oct. 20, 1922, in Poland.

Ms. Bondarowicz worked as a housekeeper in the Remsenburg area. Family members said she enjoyed sewing and gardening.

Predeceased by her husband, Julian in 1989, she is survived by her children, Stanley of New Jersey, Maria Stromski of Hampton Bays, Wanda Wilinski of Riverhead and Stasia Kurasz of Virginia; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family received visitors April 11 at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service was held April 12 at St. Isidore R.C. Church in Riverhead. Interment took place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Center Moriches.
