Cops: Man charged for thefts at CVS, Walmart

Price

Riverhead Town police made an arrest Monday in connection to a pair of larcenies in Riverhead last month, according to a press release.

Steven M. Price, 47, was arrested and charged with two counts of misdemeanor petit larceny stemming from thefts that occurred at CVS on March 13 and Walmart on March 27, police said.

The arrest was the result of an investigation by the Riverhead COPE unit, police said. Mr. Price was arraigned in Riverhead Justice Court.

Mr. Price had been arrested in December on two counts of second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation following a traffic stop in Flanders, according to a prior report by Southampton Town police. He was also arrested earlier that same month after getting caught with fake prescriptions for drugs and was charged with two counts of possession of a forged instrument, both felonies, according a prior report.
