In his final game as a Riverhead Blue Wave two years ago, Ryan Hubbard capped his career with a seven-goal performance against West Babylon.

He hasn’t slowed down since as a member of the SUNY Plattsburgh men’s lacrosse team.

He scored a career-high eight points on five goals with three assists in a 19-8 victory over Geneseo Saturday. Three days earlier he had a pair of goals in a 10-8 win over Potsdam.

Plattsburgh is currently 6-6 overall and 2-1 in conference.

Hubbard is second on the team with 27 points is one goal off the team lead with 20. A teammate of his at Riverhead suits up alongside him. Michael Van Bommel, a sophomore, has started 10 games for Plattsburgh this year as a defenseman.

Last year as a freshman, Hubbard accumulated 38 goals with 12 assists.
