Top-seeded Shoreham-Wading River, behind Zach White’s three-hitter, defeated rival Rocky Point, 5-0, in a loser’s bracket game in the Suffolk County Class B baseball tournament on Saturday in Shoreham. It was White’s second playoff shutout win.

The win means the two teams will play again on Monday in Shoreham for a place in the finals against No. 6 Mount Sinai.

White recorded 11 strikeouts, walking one. He was helped by Brian Morrell’s homer, double and three runs scored. Combined with his first shutout against Islip, he has 20 stikeouts and has given up seven hits in the playoffs.

The Wildcats (19-5) opened scoring in the first inning with two runs on a home run by cleanup hitter Vincent Uzzi. Morrell homered in the third, doubled in the fifth and scored from third when Uzzi ran to first on a dropped third strike.
