Former Jamesport resident Barbara A. Trojanowski of Riverhead died May 23 at her daughter’s home in Aquebogue. She was 83.
The daughter of Alfred and Mary Battilla, she was born July 14, 1932, and attended Center Moriches High School.
Ms. Trojanowski worked as a secretary at Brookhaven National Lab. She was a member of the Riverhead Women of the Moose.
Family members said Ms. Trojanowski enjoyed golf and spending time with her grandchildren.
Predeceased by her husband, Thaddeus, in 1986, Ms. Trojanowski is survived by her son, Douglas, of East Hampton; her daughter, Debbie Carberry of Aquebogue; her brother, Dante Battilla of North Carolina and sister, Dorothy, of Florida; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive visitors Wednesday, May 25, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service will take place Thursday, May 26, at St. Isidore R.C. Church in Riverhead. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
