Cops: Riverhead bus barn radios stolen, damaged
Equipment was reported stolen and damaged May 29 from the Riverhead School District’s bus barn on Harrison Avenue, according to a Riverhead Town police report.
A two-way bus radio was taken and another from a different bus was found damaged, officials said. Wires were also pulled out of a third bus, police said.
The radios are worth about $200 each and an additional $200 worth of damage was done to the third bus, officials said.
No other information about the incident was immediately available. Superintendent Nancy Carney didn’t respond to a message seeking comment about the police report.
