Woman arrested for alleged identity theft after using credit card

A Rocky Point woman is under arrest for illegally charging more than $200 to a Wading River man’s credit card, according to Riverhead Town police.

The victim had reported that his credit card was being used without his permission and Riverhead detectives traced the crime back to 20-year-old Emily Mioducki of Rocky Point, who was arrested Saturday morning on a third-degree identity theft charge, a misdemeanor.

Ms. Mioducki used the credit card to purchase $235 worth gift cards and other items at the Family Dollar Neighborhood Discount store in Rocky Point, police said.

She was processed at Riverhead Town police headquarters and released on an appearance ticket, police said.
